Facebook Bra Color Status Updates - Viral but did it work?

It was fun, sending out Twitter style one word updates, with just a color of our bra's. It created a buzz, people talked about it, trend lines rose up, bloggers everywhere began to talk about it.
What was it suppose to do? The email stated it wanted to raise awareness for breast cancer. A worthy cause but did it work?
Whether you agree or not with the way it happened, it got us all talking about it. That to us is what's important. If it forced you to google for more information, or call your friend who just a month ago was told she has breast cancer, it worked.
